Balayage in Dubai
Soft, sun-kissed colour painted by hand, made to grow out beautifully so you are not back in the chair every three weeks.
Book Your BalayageHow much is balayage in Dubai? At Lioness Beauty Salon on Al Wasl Road, balayage is priced by hair length and a toner is always included: AED 460 for short hair, AED 690 for medium, and AED 1040 for long. Most appointments take around two to three hours and the colour is hand-painted by our senior colourists for a natural, lived-in finish.
Hand-painted colour, made for real life
Balayage is the technique where colour is painted on by hand instead of wrapped in foils. That hand-painting is what gives you those soft, blended tones that look like you have spent the summer somewhere sunny, rather than a hard line that screams salon. The roots stay deeper, the ends go lighter, and the regrowth blends in instead of fighting you.
For women in Dubai that last part matters. Between the heat, the sun, and how much time we all spend at the beach or the pool, balayage is one of the few colour services that actually keeps up with your routine. You get the brightness without the maintenance, and you can stretch the time between visits without ever looking like you need a touch up.
Every balayage at Lioness is done in a private villa, women only, with no walk-in crowd and no rush. Our colourists sit with you first to look at your natural base, your skin tone, and the kind of warmth or ash you actually want before a single section is painted.

A toner every time
The toner is what kills brassy orange and gives you that expensive, clean finish. It is built into the price here, never an upsell at the end.
Senior colourists only
Balayage lives or dies on placement. Your colour is painted by experienced hands, not handed to a junior to practise on.
Privacy by design
A quiet villa on Al Wasl Road, women only, no foot traffic. You can relax for the full three hours without an audience.
Honest consultation
If balayage is not right for your hair right now, we will tell you and suggest what is, even if it means a smaller booking.
Balayage, highlights, or ombre?
These three get mixed up constantly, and the wrong choice is an expensive mistake. Here is the simple version so you walk in knowing what you actually want.
| Service | Best for | The look |
|---|---|---|
| Balayage | Low maintenance, natural brightness | Hand-painted, blended, soft regrowth |
| Highlights | All-over lightness and lift | Foil placed, more uniform and bright |
| Ombre | A bolder dark-to-light fade | Defined gradient from root to tip |
Still torn? Our colourists do all three, so the consultation is the easiest way to decide. You can also read more about our full hair services if you are planning a bigger change.
How long balayage lasts
Because balayage grows out softly, most clients go three to four months between full appointments, sometimes longer. That is the whole point of the technique. There is no harsh line of regrowth telling everyone exactly when you last had it done.
To keep the colour bright and the ends healthy, use a sulphate-free shampoo, wash in cooler water, and book a gloss or toner refresh in the middle if you want it to stay extra fresh. If your ends feel dry from the lightening, a hair treatment or a keratin treatment in the same visit keeps everything smooth. Many clients also pair their colour with a fresh cut so the new tones sit on a clean shape.
What to expect on the day
You will start with a consultation and a patch check if it is your first colour with us. The painting itself is relaxing, the colour develops, then comes the wash, the toner, and a blow dry to finish. Come with clean, dry hair and block out the afternoon so you are never watching the clock.
Balayage FAQ
How much does balayage cost in Dubai?
At Lioness, balayage is AED 460 for short hair, AED 690 for medium, and AED 1040 for long, with a toner included in every price. Cost is based on hair length and density because longer, thicker hair needs more product and more time to paint.
How long does a balayage appointment take?
Plan for roughly two to three hours depending on your length and how light you are going. We never rush colour, so we would rather give you the full time than cut corners and leave you with patchy tones.
Is balayage damaging to my hair?
Balayage is gentler than full highlights because the colour is only painted where it needs to go, leaving your roots and a lot of your length untouched. We use premium lightener and finish with a toner, and we will recommend a treatment if your ends need extra care.
How often do I need to redo balayage?
Most women come back every three to four months. The soft regrowth means there is no obvious line, so you can stretch the time between visits far more than you can with foils or full colour.
Can I do balayage on dark hair?
Yes. Dark hair takes beautifully to balayage and gives you a rich, dimensional result. Going very light from a deep base can need more than one session, which we will always explain honestly during your consultation before you commit.
