Moroccan Bath in Dubai
A traditional Moroccan hammam ritual — steam, black soap, kessa exfoliation, and full-body renewal — performed by expert female therapists in our private, women-only villa salon on Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah 3.
About the Treatment
What Is a Moroccan Bath?
A Moroccan bath, also known as a hammam, is a traditional North African cleansing ritual that uses steam, authentic black soap (savon noir), and a kessa exfoliation glove to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and rejuvenate the entire body — leaving skin softer, brighter, and visibly smoother.
The ritual begins with steam to open your pores and soften the skin. Authentic Moroccan black soap, made from olive oil and eucalyptus, is then applied to your entire body. After the soap has drawn out impurities, your therapist uses a traditional kessa exfoliation glove to remove layers of dead skin — revealing fresh, incredibly soft skin underneath.
The treatment finishes with a nourishing ghassoul clay mask or argan oil application that leaves your skin hydrated, glowing, and silky smooth for days.
At Lioness Beauty Salon, our Moroccan bath in Dubai is performed by experienced female therapists using authentic, imported Moroccan products in a private, women-only villa on Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah 3 — minutes from Jumeirah Beach, City Walk, and Downtown Dubai. Combine your hammam with a hydrating facial or a luxury manicure for the ultimate pampering day.

The Benefits
Moroccan Bath Benefits — Why Your Skin Needs One
Especially in Dubai's climate — where hard water, AC, and UV exposure take a daily toll on your skin.
Deep Exfoliation
Removes layers of dead skin cells that daily cleansing can't reach, revealing fresh, smooth skin underneath.
Detoxifies the Body
Steam and black soap draw out impurities, unclog pores, and help your skin breathe and function properly again.
Improves Skin Texture
Regular hammam sessions reduce rough patches, keratosis pilaris, ingrown hairs, and uneven skin tone across the entire body.
Total Relaxation
The combination of heat, steam, and therapeutic touch deeply calms the nervous system — a full-body reset for mind and muscles.

Your Appointment
What to Expect From Your Moroccan Bath
A deeply cleansing, deeply relaxing hammam experience from arrival to departure.
Arrival & Prep
You change into a comfortable wrap in your private room. Your therapist explains the process and checks for any skin sensitivities.
Steam Session
Warm steam envelops your body, opening pores and softening the skin. The essential first step that makes everything that follows more effective.
Black Soap & Scrub
Savon noir is applied head to toe, left to absorb, then your therapist scrubs with the kessa glove — revealing layers of fresh, renewed skin.
Clay Mask & Oil
Ghassoul clay is applied to detoxify and tighten, followed by argan oil to deeply hydrate and seal in moisture. Your skin glows.
Rinse & Relax
A warm rinse washes everything away. You rest with a cup of Moroccan mint tea while your body absorbs the benefits.
Know the Difference
Moroccan Bath vs Turkish Hammam
Both rituals share an ancient bathhouse heritage, but the experience, products, and results are noticeably different.
Moroccan Bath (Hammam)
- Products: Authentic black soap (savon noir), ghassoul clay, argan oil.
- Exfoliation: Deep — kessa glove removes multiple layers of dead skin.
- Heat: Warm steam, gentle on the skin.
- Focus: Skin renewal, deep cleansing, hydration.
- Result: Visibly softer, smoother, glowing skin for days.
Turkish Hammam
- Products: Olive oil soap, foam from a kese mitt.
- Exfoliation: Moderate — lighter than Moroccan kessa scrub.
- Heat: Hot marble platform (göbek tasi) with high humidity.
- Focus: Relaxation, muscle release, foam massage.
- Result: Cleansed, deeply relaxed, calming experience.
At Lioness, we specialise in the authentic Moroccan hammam tradition — the deepest, most transformative of the two for skin texture and glow.

Keep Your Glow Going
Your skin is freshly exfoliated and extra receptive after a hammam. Treat it well.
Hydrate Inside & Out
Drink plenty of water and apply a rich body moisturiser or oil within 30 minutes of your treatment to lock in hydration.
Avoid Sun Exposure
Your freshly exfoliated skin is more sensitive to UV. Apply SPF generously and avoid prolonged sun for 24 to 48 hours.
Skip Harsh Products
Avoid retinol, AHA, BHA, scrubs, and fragranced body washes for 48 hours. Let your skin rest and absorb the natural oils.
No Hot Tubs or Pools
Chlorine and hot water can irritate freshly exfoliated skin. Avoid swimming pools, jacuzzis, and saunas for 24 hours.
Wear Loose Clothing
Tight clothing can cause friction on your newly smooth skin. Opt for loose, soft fabrics for the rest of the day.
Book Monthly
For consistently smooth, glowing skin, a Moroccan bath every three to four weeks is ideal — aligned with your skin's natural renewal cycle.
